WAITING FOR GIDEON: A TIDAL KISS SHORT - REVIEW

I have been a bad book blogger and have neglecting my book blogging.

I'm making up for it by pushing out ANOTHER review today.

I've finished reading Waiting for Gideon by Kristy Nicole a few months ago but somehow forgot to post a review of it here.

Out of all the books associated with The Tidal Kiss Trilogy, this short is my absolute favourite.

In my opinion, this short provided the perfect ratio of action to romance (more action than romance), and basically explains how Callie's parents met. If you don't know who Callie is, you might want to pick up The Tidal Kiss Trilogy. Or if you don't want to, that's ok - because this short is another amazing stand-alone story.

Kristy has effectively managed to magically teleport me to the 1980's (which is probably one of the best eras in my opinion). Every detail described came to life as though I were in that time period, from the clothes, to the car, to the music, to the cheesy 80's movie tropes like exploding cars. :sigh: it was like being on the movie set of back to the future.

As such, I am giving this short 5 out of 5 stars and recommend picking up this book.

Christmas special: VEXED REVIEW

It's the first day of winter! And I have successfully finished reading my new favourite Christmas novella, Vexed by Kristy Nicole!

Where do I start?
The book itself is as long as the first Harry Potter book, so I was surprised I managed to zip through reading it within a day.
I love it. Love, love, LOVE, that it’s so much different from most romances (and you know how I feel about romances). I can't give anything away, but what I CAN say is that it's a super story with a lot of great character and sub-plot build up. It makes a great stand-alone book if you haven't read The Tidal Kiss Trilogy, but I really do recommend reading the trilogy first before picking this up.

This book has me hooked and receives a full 5 out of 5 stars.

All that said, STILL hella awkward for me to read sex scenes. Let's just say it was enough to make me red just because of how.. :ahem: experienced both of the main characters were.

Speaking of picking up the trilogy, Kristy Nicole has just released a book combining the ENTIRE trilogy, which makes this a perfect Christmas gift to any friend, or fish, who loves fantasy and romance.
